L’été 2008, nous tournons, en collaboration avec des membres de l’Institut Scientifique Français de Tartu en Estonie, une courte vidéo : Seul ou en banc ?. Dans ce travail, nous essayons de comparer et confondre la société humaine et la société des poissons, pour comprendre la façon dont elles s’influencent l’une et l’autre.
L’équipe est constituée de trois personnes, deux comédiennes et un cameraman. La vidéo est écrite au jour le jour et tournée avec des acteurs croisés le long de notre parcours.
Synopsis : Un chercheur met au point deux êtres artificiels afin de le seconder. Après un court entraînement, les trois personnages partent étudier le poisson et l’homme, dans l’optique de confronter ces deux sociétés. À cause de la concurrence au sein de l’équipe et des difficultés de chacun à nouer des contacts avec la population locale, leur collaboration tourne court.
In the Summer 2008, we filmed, in collaboration with members of the French Scientific Institute of Tartu in Estonia, a short video: Seul ou en banc ? (Alone or in a shoal?) . In this work we tried to compare and intertwine human and fish society, to understand the ways in which they influence one another.
The team was made up of three people, two actors and a cameraman. The film was written day by day and shot with actors that we crossed on our path.
Synopsis: A researcher brings to life two artificial beings to assist him. After a small amount of training the three go off to study Man and Fish, with the aim to confront these two societies. Due to competition within the team and each one’s difficulty relating to the local population their collaboration turns sour.
