Avec Plateau Photo, GONGLE propose une approche des réseaux sociaux comme scène artistique à part entière. Au-delà d’un espace de diffusion et de promotion, Instagram est utilisé ici comme un espace d’échanges et de co-production artistique permettant d’explorer de nouveaux formats.
Ce projet mêlant mise en scène dans l’espace public, photographie et dessin, s’inscrit dans une démarche d’ « urbanisme collaboratif », piloté par la coopérative culturelle CUESTA. Plateau photo est associé à la conception de la Promenade des Hauteurs, projet de territoire porté par Est Ensemble, les partenaires et acteurs locaux.
Un groupe composé de représentant·e·s associatif·ve·s, d’usager·ère·s et d’habitant·e·s a été invité à parcourir des parties de la Promenade des Hauteurs et à imaginer des usages, à travers un dispositif photographique sur téléphone portable. Partant de leurs perceptions de l’environnement et de ses potentialités, les participant·e·s ont mis leurs corps en action dans l’espace. Des photos réalisées avec les téléphones ont ensuite été retravaillées pour représenter ce qu’on voudrait voir dans les espaces publics de la promenade.
De nombreux scenarios d’activités et d’usages ont été mis en scène collectivement. Ces contributions ont nourri l’étude à travers un fil rouge, qui vise à associer démarches artistiques et usages pour proposer des activations autour des grands thèmes qui ressortent de ces journées : bouger, glisser-grimper, jardiner, se rafraîchir, se rencontrer, explorer.
With the Plateau Photo (Photo Platform), GONGLE presents the concept of social media as a fully-fledged artistic stage. More than a place for sharing and promotion, Instagram is used here as a space for exchange and artistic co-productions, allowing for the exploration of new formats.
This project combines public space performance, photography and drawing, and fits within the “collaborative urbanism” process piloted by the CUESTA cultural cooperative. Plateau Photo works in conjunction with the Promenade des Hauteurs, a walking route that passes through a variety of green spaces in the northeast of Paris, led by Est Ensemble, partners and local participants.
A group composed of associated representatives, users and residents was invited to wander through sections of the Promenade de Hauteurs and imagine how they could be put to use by taking photos on their mobiles. Sharing their perceptions of the environment and its potential, the participants put their bodies to work in the space. The pictures taken with their phones were then retouched to show what they would like to see in the public areas along the path.
A number of different activities and applications were collectively staged. These contributions fed the study along similar lines, aiming to bring together artistic approaches and a variety of functions to provide activities around a handful of key themes which emerged throughout the project : moving, skating-climbing; gardening, chilling out, meeting and exploring.
